TOPIC: Parting out a 72 Capri

Parting out a 72 Capri 3 years 7 months ago #11004

As I drive my Capri around I occasionally hear about Capri's tucked away in sheds, barns and fields. I recently became aware of a 72 and a 74 which have been sitting out in the weather for about 18 years. While both are WAY, WAY beyond saving or restoring they both have a wealth of usable parts and I was able to pick up both at "Parts Car" pricing.

As a result I have a big list of typical and hard to find MK1 Capri Parts available for sale. As I am in Canada my prices are in Canadian Dollars so, if you are in the USA, the actual price you pay will be roughly 20-25% less than the Canadian dollar price asked. For fellow Canadians the price is the price, but as a Canadian shipper you will avoid having to pay exchange and border related charges.

What we have is listed on my Build site at www.capri-perana.com/capri-parts-for-sale/

Hi Craig

Unfortunately both cars (I have now parted out a 72 and a 74) had wrecked windshields. That said I do have a spare windshield for my 74. It was replaced because I managed to locate a new one in Florida, but the old one was useable. The primary issue is there are some windshield wiper scratches on the outside surface, but they could be buffed out as they are quite light.

Let me know if your interested and I can try to photograph it for you so you cn see the extent of the scratches. I live in Kaslo, BC so best bet would be to come out and pick it up if it meets your needs. We are about a 10 hour drive from Edmonton.
